I hate to be a “debbie downer” but…I am seriously thinking this: Netvue did a ton advertising for the Birdfy recently and a ton of people have purchased. Wondering if their “system” is unable to support the huge influx of the Birdfy cameras via their server???
I received a response from Netvue -finally - late last night. Simply saying issues with their server.
Does anyone know if the outage has been resolved?
Not for me.
And I didn’t receive a reply to my email.

You’re not a “Debbie Downer” - that’s really a good theory.
I have (had) a Petzi treat cam that had an app and the company emailed everyone that had an account that their support was ending on May 10.
They said the technology required was too complex to keep up.
I was able to open the app and view my dogs live, and even speak to them and toss a treat.
I hope that’s not what’s going to happen to Netvue.

As a new user I find the app to be truly awful. Notifications are sporadic - and when they do come it’s over an hour after the event. There is no so recognition at all. Now when I look at a notification it disappears afterwards. This began yesterday. Really thinking about returning the whole thing. Does the company have anything to say?
I am also not getting notifications. I deleted app and reinstalled and not working.
Support is terrible for this product. Servers seem to still be acting up. Not recording motion; when I do get an alert, it’s from yesterday. Curious if anybody at Netvue is actually monitoring any of the support requests. Also, the 24/7 chat is a joke.
I’m ready to return mine and leave a bad review any place I can !!! This is ridiculous
Very frustrating. We all paid good money for these…. I sent email this morning….will see how long before a response is issued (not that it will differ from yours). Today has still been so sporadic with captured videos. Grrrrr

I agree! This is absolutely ridiculous, especially for the amount we paid for this thing. Extremely frustrating!! Lack of customer service is a bit scary to me…I feel it’s more than a “server issue”. Today I had maybe 6 very sporadic notifications. And those 6 were delayed by 2-3 hours. Meanwhile, my feeder got completely cleared out of seed!!

I’m really sorry for the trouble. We are still experiencing an outage with Birdfy and battery cameras. As per level 2 team it may take up to 48 hours for this outage to be resolved.

I have several Netvue cams for home security and the motion detection does not alert and probably the servers are down.
Does not happen often but this is ridiculous without any notifications. A large company should have this server fixed by now!
Maybe time to ditch these and get a much expensive Ring camera with professional servers and support.
That is the same information I received as well when I messaged them earlier. I got this from my birthday, we installed it yesterday and the servers are down. It is literally nothing more than a paperweight at this point haha
If we return can we even get our money back at this point?
Depends where and when you bought it, I’d guess. I just got mine two weeks ago on Amazon, so I’m within the 30-day return window.
Good morning!! Just put my Birdfy out for the day (due to bears, I have to take mine inside each night along with allll my feeders) - within 5 minutes I’ve had 7 notifications!! Crossing fingers that the “server” situation is fixed!! WE SHALL SEE!!!
