My SD cards would not format anymore so I opted to buy the cloud service. Nothing is being marked for motion and there is no playback at all.

We have checked for you. In your account, you ordered the Event Video Recording plan, which is a subscription for your device to record motions as videos and store them for you in the Netvue cloud. Different from Continuous Video Recording - a plan records everything 24/7 for you and store it in the Netvue cloud as videos for you to playback.
