This feeder is not appropriate for Hummers. The perch is to far from the feeding ports. The Hummer has to land on the slick part of the feeder and feed from there. Or, fly and feed at an odd angle. Who ever designed this did not research the birds at all. Hundreds of different feeders on the market and they have spacing correct. This need to be redesigned. $40 wasted on this poor design.
Also, the perch is to big for their feet to grasp. We have Black-chinned and Ruby Throats. Their feet are barely able to perch sitting and could not if they leaned to get a sip. Again, not well thought out nor tested.
